Pen Druid Fermentation is a 27-acre permaculture operation at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Shenandoah National Park in Rappahannock County, VA. The brewery focuses on native yeast and spontaneous fermentation of beer using traditional methods employed in Belgium and Germany with the utilization of a coolship and a wood-fired brewhouse. They also make spontaneously fermented natural cider from local apples.
