Pratt Brewing Company sparked as an interest and has been forged into a passion. We, the Pratts, currently work in Spring Grove, IL at the local forge shop, Scot Forge, where we also met. Like many, we had an interest in craft beer, and soon wanted to try our hand at homebrewing. It all started with a for-fun, something-to-learn-together, brewing class using the set up provided by our kitchen stove, in 2017. Since then, we have been developing our signature beers, expanding our equipment beyond the stove and experimenting using all the fun science that comes with the craft of brewing. This work has inspired us towards a future brewery featuring a taproom with a rotation of our latest drafts. Staying local was crucial to us. Our community is not only where we work but where we spend our lives and have grown our family. We knew this was the only place to begin to grow our business.
